General Limak installation guidance
Preparation, mixing, application and storage guidance for Limak tile and ceramic adhesive.
Prepare the substrate
The substrate should be plumb, firm, and free from grease, contamination, and weak areas so tile can be installed with a thin adhesive layer.
Mix with water
- Use about 5.5 litres of water per 20 kg bag.
- Add powder gradually to the water and mix mechanically.
- Wait about 5 minutes, then mix again for 15 seconds.
- Spread mortar on the substrate and the back of the slab; adjust the bed with a suitable notched trowel, then vibrate and set the piece.
Timing and temperature
- Pot life: about 2 hours after mixing.
- Application temperature: +5°C to +35°C.
- Walk-on / loading: after 24 hours.
- Grouting: 24 to 48 hours after installation.
Storage
Keep bags dry and away from rain and direct sunlight. Shelf life is one year.
